Don't we get all personal when we are boiled up, steaming irrationally ? I did. I still do and for that one momentary lapse of reason, I certainly will do.
When differing opinions meet head-on, there is a tendency for the weak to go personal, attacking the messenger rather than the message so to speak. We speak politics a lot lately. We execrate individuals who in our view, did not live up to our principles and morals. ...well, I certainly did.
Last night, in the midst of another manic cursing of yet another politician, sanity whispered its sense. I remember dad’s calming wise words : It may well be that the person that you hate or ridicule, is the one that HE loves.
I was dumbstruck by the message... I felt….. guilty.
In humility, I seek forgiveness from HIM and from the subject of my hatred. My emotions got the better of me and my harsh words were absolutely uncalled for.
Notwithstanding, I hold strong to my belief that Pak Lah does more damage than good. I pray that he leaves office before it’s too late and I pray that all will be well again.

Flippin' floppy

oh when will this end. our dear Pak keeps on pushing the envolope on "how dumb can you get".

Suffice to quote from NST today:

"Therefore, I won't say anything on this yet as we are considering (how often to adjust the pump price)," Abdullah said yesterday when announcing cost-cutting measures for ministers and the public administration following the fuel price hike.

He was asked about apparently conflicting statements that the government would retain the current price of petrol and diesel until March.

.. flip... flop... flip... flop...

thank you pak...

[pix : Jln Beringin Shell St. what would normally take 20 minutes took me 3 hours to reach from KLCC]

There were scenes of pure madness out there all over KL at rush-hour on Wednesday 4th June 2008. Malaysians, weary of the imminent petrol price hike come midnight, converged at the first petrol kiosk in sight, to fill up their tanks. Be it cars, bikes, buses or trucks. Everyone was FUMING - pun intended. Was the petrol price hike unexpected? Certainly not. But it was the manner in which the flip-flop government of Pak Lah announced it. Flipped.. he had to promise malaysians a day earlier that there will be NO hike until August... Flopped... today, he increased it by 40 % (read.. F.O.R.T.Y P.E.R.C.E.N.T, not fourteen).

Thank you pak lah. you have once again cemented your name in the annals of malaysian politics (or even amongst 20 million malaysian), as the dumbest. [note : and you had the audacity to plead pathetically "..let's hope there'll be no demonstration..".. ah.. like you would allow one?]

We are governed by incompetent politicians. Shame on me for not voting you guys out.
