No other way but down.

I am so happy that the arrogant UMNO lost in the recent by-election in my constituency. No, I did not go back to Kuala Terengganu to vote unfortunately. Not that it would make any difference as I will NOT neither vote for BN nor Pakatan. Oh, don't get me wrong, I have not, and don't see myself ever supporting PAS. Not with "kafir mengkafir" person still there. BUT, I am relieved that the people of KT sent this strong signal to Pak Lah... BLAH.
And KJ, come on... we're not finger pointing, it's just YOU and your cronies that we are fed-up with. Just... just.... get lost. whoosh. disappear from the political arena. Just.... get lost.

Tun's analysis pre-election was spot on. Even my families & relatives in KT have been whispering the same thing "BN sombong. Bagi duit. Rasuah" etc. Now they have lost, GOOD. But the sleepy head who's travelling the mid-east is so dumb that he'll just harp the same thing over and over again in denial "kami tidak menganggap ini suatu penolakan terhadap Barisan atau UMNO". YES SIR!!! this is just a rejection of YOU and your cronies.

Get lost.

yo! don't gaga

So much for freedom of speech, that doesn't mean one can be insensitive to other's cultures and religion. Islam is a way of life, the "deen". And Islam, as a way of life, outlines the simple fact that LIFE, has two purposes : to be subservient to HIM and to be his khalifa on HIS good earth.

For one that has chosen Islam as his/her way of life, then he/she must respect this way of life. Just like he/she must respect other "way of life", muslims expects nothing less.

Majlis Fatwa is the ultimate in the muslim society in outlining the rules of islamic law. Where things go "grey", THEY, carry the burden to tell muslims what their views are. THEY will be accountable in HIS eye for whatever decree they come out with.

When the leader of a family, took everything into account and decide certain things for the family, family members can no longer question the decision.

When Majlis Fatwa, decides something, no matter how mundane YOU may think, you must obey - begrudgingly , willing, hesitantly - obey YOU must. They are a group of people, majors and experts in Islamic law, appointed by the government, to take care of muslims interests. They will not (god forbid) decide something that is detriment to the society, muslims especially.

So, when Pak Lah, questioned Majlis Fatwa, he is in a way, undermining the credibility of the very institution setup to take care of us, muslims. That is wrong. Shame on you Pak Lah.

Pak Lah shortsighteness in publicly undermining the role of Majlis Fatwa allows people like Tay Tian Yan. to make unscrupulous comment on the issue, indirectly on ISLAM.

"Twisting the brain a bit" may be a silly/funny tongue in cheek comment. But rest assured, for many of us muslims, that is downright degrading and rude. Tay Tian Yan, go yoga your brain on other issues, not on this one.

Piss off !

One of Tun's recent blog revealed an old Malay saying that I last heard more than 15 years ago. It really (really!) summed up my thoughts of Pak Lah's administration - leadership by example.

Jalan Pulang

A month ago, I bought and read Kassim Ahmad's book 'Jalan Pulang : Dari Socialisma kepada Islam'. Then when I saw an article in Malaysiakini written by a certain Yunus Ali about the same book, it caught my attention. I was curious, just like a curious on-looker passing by an accident at Federal Highway. Indeed, Yunus' writing is more critical than my thoughts of the book. But it is sad to "see" this assumingly intelligent person, displaying a rather childish mentality. When he authoratively condemned Kassim for not being critical of Tun M's 22-year at the helm, I was reminded of a bully during my school days, "kalau awak tak kutuk si-polan, awak bodoh! awak bodoh!" You are so prejudiced, Mr. Yunus. In bahasa rawa, we'd term you as a NGOk. Get a life... oh, better still, get lost.

PM, you shut up.

Mister PM, you have done nothing during your pathetic tenure as our embarassing PM. So, you shut up. Critics or supporters alike are unanimous in the many contributions of Tun M towards the betterment of Malaysia, Malays and Islam.

Who are you to slam Tun for speaking up?

Rais, we salute you.

Auspicious day

I am trying hard to quell my anxiety (and extreme happiness). I really do hope that he will disappear into oblivion ... after charged with corruption and mismanagement of country's funds that is.

Royal sense

I have always admired the speeches of Raja Nazrin. Sensible and full of wisdom. How I wish the government possesses if not all, even an iota of this man's intelligence. ahh.. wishful thinking.

If BN is doomed to fall, then I wish the leaders, Pak Lah especially, to take to heart, that YOU and only YOU are the reason for BN's failure.

Wake up now, or never, sleepyhead.
